Many years ago, when I was nearly broke and I could only afford rather lame presents for my family, I started dressing the gift wrapping up a bit, adding photos and captions. My thinking was, Maybe the fun wrapping will distract them from the shitty gift I bought. Anyway, doing this became a habit, and I'm still doing it. Here are a few examples from this year and last year.
